NORTHERN PERU TREKS

Groups of 4 or More

howie.jpg

We offer luxury hiking and trekking adventures in Peru, where we aim to share the unique beauty of Peru’s nature combined with the exhilaration of high-altitude hiking. You will also experience a touch of local culture and cuisine, providing insights into life in small villages and bustling cities across Peru.

For our four or six-day circuit, we've handpicked the most breathtaking section of the Huayhuash. Here, you'll witness the spectacle of snow and ice cascading from glaciers towering at 20,000 feet. You'll also have the opportunity to engage with our Peruvian companions, whose families have resided in the Huayhuash for generations.

Our team of cooks and donkey handlers will ensure your comfort by transporting all your food and equipment on donkeys, pitching your tents at each site upon arrival, and serving you a variety of teas, snacks, and meals throughout your trek. All you need to do is stroll with your day pack!

We also infuse a touch of local culture and cuisine, providing insights into life in small villages and bustling cities across Peru.

Although the Cordillera Huayhuash measures a mere 18.5 miles in length, it boasts over six peaks exceeding 19,000 feet.

“CORDILLERA HUAYHUASH CIRCUIT”

The full Huayhuash Cordillera Trek is our longest and hardest hiking trip. During the 9 days, 8 nights of treking, you make an 18-mile loop around stunning landscapes, unreal vistas, while Yerupaja, the second-highest mountain in Peru (21,766′), glimmers in the distance.  The entire Huayhuash circuit can hold its own as a world-class trek.  Because of its extreme altitude in some of the highest mountains on the planet, we find it to be one of the most physically and emotionally challenging treks in the world. But we think that the view is better when it is earned.

You’ll discover it to be one of the most transformative trips of your life.
